Katja Rub

When I came across Katja's designs I was immediately drawn to the distinct lino patterns against a gorgeous palette of colours. Katja relayed stories to me of how memories of cats punctuated her upbringing and made her smile. Her cats Quickie & Felix were particularly special to her and the former inspires her black cat illustrations which adorn her products. It is their 'pride and independence' which captures her imagination. I love the stillness, but also the movement in some of her cats. The little notebooks are strewn around my house for easy notetaking and make charming little gifts.
