Warning! Foster Mum Fail!
I have to admit that the only way I could foster a kitty was to sneak him in! I was desperate to help a local rescue in their hour of need. My 'cat widow' Darren was initially furious, but I knew his cold heart would melt when he set eyes on this poor, ragged creature. Timmy was malnourished, injured and scared. He wedged himself into the smallest corners and soon got his first nickname 'Chim Chiminey' after climbing into the sooty fireplace. His tail had to be amputated, poor thing was in such a sorry state. It's amazing what love does. I became his Mum and as we near 1 year of Timmy I couldn't imagine life without him. How did I convince the 'cat widow'? What's 6 when you already have 5?! Also, we all fell in love. He has blossomed into a real beauty and won't stop eating! He's also developed a proper bromance with Ramen which is beautiful to see. Most UK rescues work through fostering, if you can, give it a try. Changing an animal's life shows you how important it is to be kind every day.
